# What happens when I transfer a domain away?

With every domain purchase or transfer, and upon renewal, DNS management is
 included free of charge
for the domain name's registration period. This service is worth €12.00/year.

As soon as you have retrieved your transfer/EPP code and an outbound transfer has completed, the DNS zone is
immediately deleted
from our DNS servers.

If you would like to retain DNS management on our servers for a while, you can let us know
before initiating the transfer
. Your zone will be added to a new order/service and will not be deleted, and an invoice of €12.00 for 12 months of DNS management will be issued.

It is not possible to order a period shorter than 12 months, and no refund can be issued if you stop using our DNS servers before the service's annual renewal date.
