To make configuration easier, we recommend using Mozilla Thunderbird, as it supports automatic provisioning with our servers, is free, and is available on all platforms: macOS, Linux and Windows.

All our email accounts are configured by default to support the POP3 and IMAP4 protocols. Which should you choose?

If you use your email on a single computer and have a backup policy in place within your company, POP3 will be suitable.
If you use your email on several devices (including smartphones and tablets) and/or do not back up your email client, IMAP is more appropriate. (Emails are backed up by us.)

To receive an automatic Apple configuration profile for iOS (iPad, iPhone) and Mail on Mac, please use the following form: https://autoconfig.cloudvip.net/

If you would like to configure another email client such as Android or Outlook, enter the following settings manually:

--- THIS PROCEDURE REQUIRES GOOD TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE AND WE DO NOT RECOMMEND IT: you are strongly encouraged to use Thunderbird ---

If you wish to use IMAP:
IMAP server: mail.cloudvip.net - port 143
SMTP server: mail.cloudvip.net - port 587

If you wish to use POP:
POP server: mail.cloudvip.net - port 110
SMTP server: mail.cloudvip.net - port 587

You can enable SSL/TLS encryption.
Webmail is available at: https://mail.cloudvip.net/

Warning: many email clients suggest port 25 for the SMTP server by default, but it will NOT work on consumer Internet connections such as Proximus or Voo. You must make sure that port 587 is configured, otherwise your emails will remain blocked and will not be sent.

If you do not wish to use our SMTP server on port 587, you may use your Internet service provider's SMTP server (for example: relay.skynet.be, port 25).
However, on a smartphone or tablet, that SMTP server will only work while you are using your own connection (your provider's network). If, for example, you are using 3G/4G on the Orange/Base network, roaming on Bouygues Telecom in France, or even your neighbour's Wi-Fi if they use Voo, sending through your provider's SMTP server will not work. Furthermore, if SPF is configured for your domain, using an SMTP server other than ours may cause problems: emails that happen to pass through your provider's SMTP server may be rejected by the recipient's server or, at best, delivered to their spam folder. This is why we strongly recommend using our SMTP server.
